Barbie Dolls of the World - Statue of Liberty Doll - Ellis Island Exhibit

I went to Liberty Island on August 6 to see the Barbie Dolls of the World Fashion Show.  It was very exciting and cool to watch the different countries in their native dress.  My favorite was actually the Big Ben model because her costume was so illustrated and looked like the clock in England.  For the countries, I liked Mexico's dress.

After the show we went to Ellis Island to see the exhibit.  They do give you a passport - but you have to go to the information desk to get it.  Once you finish filling it out they will stamp it for you.  My favorite doll is Spain - it was so beautiful.

We tried buying the Statue of Liberty doll but it was sold out!!!  I just found it on Amazon.com.  I think my mom will get the Big Ben or Eiffel Tower for me - I hope....

The exhibit ends AUGUST 15 so HURRY!  It is worth seeing if you are a Barbie fan.

For 30 years, Barbie® has celebrated diversity around the globe with the Dolls of the World® Collection, featuring dolls adorned in native costumes. This summer, the best of the collection comes together for the first time, representing more than 40 nations across all seven continents through a special exhibit on Ellis Island.

You can celebrate the 30th anniversary by visiting the exhibit at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum throughout the summer from June 16 through August 15.

Activities include filling out a Barbie passport about your heritage by answering questions found at the Barbie exhibit, and getting a glimpse at the latest dolls in this beloved doll series, the Dolls of the World® Landmark Collection, including Statue of Liberty Barbie.
